Bad news to SEGA fans, although it this is quite expected but SEGA is not planning to develop a new console system. SEGA has dismissed any plans to re-enter the console market and plans to remain a 3-rd party developer which they say is more lucrative.
Quite so, if they want to beat the Wii or the Xbox360, they’ll probably need something more than Sonic and Virtua Figther.
Several videogames website have reported rumors that SEGA is secretly developing a new console, which would be the company’s re-entry into the console system market.
News from videogamer.com says that SEGA had just recently applied for an updated trademark application for “Dreamcast”, hinting to the media of the possibility of “Dreamcast 2″. The description of the videogame system in the new trademark application is very different from what Dreamcast really is.
I would certain hope this would be true as SEGA console systems are still one of the best ever produced. We’ll have to keep our fingers crossed on this and see what this develops into. More info about “Dreamcast 2″ when I get them.

It needs a remake of Final Fantasy 7. A game that could put and end to the current generation of console wars. A game that every gamer has been waiting for.
Ever since I saw the Technical Demo of Final Fantasy VII on the Playstation 3, I have been hoping that would really be on development for PS3 despite Squaresoft officials dismissing rumors of this remake. I mean whats there to lose ? The game will surely sell !
Final Fantasy was the reason why I bought myself a Playstation. Now give another one for the PS3 !

Here is some interesting news. Ubisoft has annouced that they will be making a “Heroes” game. The platform is still undisclosed at the moment. Well, this is not the only series that they are planning to make, “Lost” is in the list of latest adaptation by the French publisher. Way to go

Apparently news have just came out that the sequel to NiGHTS titled NiGHTS : Journey of Dreams is coming to the Nintendo Wii this year. Not exactly released date but sometime around Winter.
This is a great news because NiGHTS is one of the best games ever made. I still have mine for the Saturn 
Looks like I will surely get the Wii. Will this news change your mind of your videogames system that you intend to buy ?
Diablo 3 ! Yeah, I definately hope that there will something out from the Diablo series or anything new from Blizzard except for WoW: Burning Crusade. Honestly, not really a big MMORPG fan. I have been reading a lot on rumors on several sites and blogs about Diablo 3 on development, Blizzard posting job offers, etc. I really I could see something concrete this year. Diablo 1 and 2 was such great games especially for the multiplayer.
Another game I would like to see this year is the new Command and Conquer 3. That is definately coming out this year. C&C: Generals was pretty disspointing for me, so I hope to see something interesting from the latest installment of the series. Hopefully, great multiplayer games just like Warcraft 3.
