Maybe you have an impressive high score to show or just itching to show what games you play on Youtube. Whatever the reason is, gamers have always wanted to record their console game and not have a crappy quality version taking using a videocamera.

I recommend using Adaptec’s Gamebridge as it works well for me and it is reasonably priced. According to Gamebridge’s technical specs, it will allow you to connect your PS 2, Xbox, Xbox 360 and GameCube to your computer. But I’m sure it will work on the PS3 and Wii and possibly anything that has a video output.

Amazon’s retailing for about 100 bucks and you can get it over here.

How to record console videogames to your PC

My biggest mistake was getting my SEGA Saturn in London. It was PAL ! and certainly more expensive than Japan or US versions.

I made the same mistake again by getting a PAL version of the Wii. (I thought it was region free)
Games cost about $100 NZ here while in Singapore for the US version it cost about S$70. What going on ? Certainly EU gamers have been getting the worst treatment in the videogames industry by having more expensive consoles and system plus games take ages for the to be released in PAL version compared to their US / Japan releases.

So it you are now thinking of importing a Wii instead of buying the PAL version, check out this useful guide : http://www.nintendolife.com/features/importing_wii_guide

Why is PAL games most expensive ?

I can’t say that I did not see this coming.

Remember the Gameboy Advance ? Back then, Nintendo said that backlight was impractical and they will never do it. And look what happened after that ? Gameboy Advance SP ! Somehow I feel that videogame makes have a conspiracy for not releasing up to that technology so that they can sell more unit with future upgrade.

Tell me what am I gonna do with my GBA and its shitty screen !

Back to the main topic. The PSP Portable promises 33% reduction in weight, faster loading times and apparently the biggest difference of all is the ability to output hi-definition video on your TV. Really really no big deal. If you want to go high-def, go get a Blu-ray player.

I don’t really see the point in PSP slim. Oh, well. Check out the introduction of PSP during E3 by Kaz Hirai.
